Our 2025
Wow, what a year last year was! We are trying to save up for a big farm house and a big piece of property.
My husband has had some minor set backs and had to have a left hip replacement on October 21, 2025. It went amazing. His recovery was picture perfect. Textbook like. He pushed himself daily doing his physical therapy. He ate a protein rich diet. He wanted to be in better shape than before. His right hip replacement was January 29. It was supposed to be the day after Christmas, but because of illness, it was postponed. It has been a harder and longer road this time around, but he is doing well.
In fact, he is gearing up for another surgery to have the sleep apnea Inspire put in.
Lastly, me. How am I doing? I dunno. I feel like I am a scattered mess. Not able to focus like I used to be able to. Hurting. Easily aggravated. Forgetting things that I should know. One of my Dr's recommended the GeneSight testing for my Bi-polar. We are trying to get a good medication that doesn't have severe side effects on my mental health and my body.
Last year, I had a D&C, and a stint placed for about 10 days in my right ureter. After I had it removed, I found out I had a 7mm x 4mm kidney stone. Ouch! We definitely met our deductible last year.
March 17th this year, it has been 2 years since my brother-in-law passed away. It has been absolutely miserable and hard. No one to care for, except ourselves.
This year we are trying to better ourselves and its gonna be hard. We are working on bettering our marriage too, especially now more so with us still navigating life without my brother-in-law.
On April 2, I had a consultation for shoulder surgery. Not replacement. I needed the bone spurs shaved off. Then April 15, was the day of surgery. It was done arthroscopically. Two incisions front and back of my right shoulder. For some odd reason, now my shoulder seems worse than it was before! I can barely lift it and move it around. They think some dry needling, and some massage will help it out. Ive already tried some steroid packs but no luck on helping with the pain. July 13 I go to physical therapy.
I have always known, but, I did get an official diagnosis of Fibromyalgia. However, I did find out my lack of REM sleep is normal for someone who has Fibromyalgia. What? NO WAY! Apparently it's true. REM is our healing time, but those with Fibromyalgia hurt so much that we can't get to REM sleep, therefore we don't heal.
I've been trying to learn more about Homesteading and gardening and herbal remedies and I wanna brag that I'm learning a lot, (thanks pinterest)!
Well, I've rambled enough!
This is my blog. This is my voice.
