No Rides in the Ballpark Here

Well another year has gone by. Many things have transpired in that year.

My Brother-in-law passed in March on St. Patrick's Day last year. Anyone who ever met him knew he was a gentle giant. He loved you and would protect you. Holidays have been tough since he passed. They always are though after a loved one passes. I honestly don't know what more to say about the loss of him.

My husband and I are trying to better ourselves and our marriage.  We decided that as a couple we are going to write one or more good things that happen in a week every Saturday evening. At the end of the year we'll read all of them and reflect on the year we had.

I'm currently enjoying my job as a shift manager. My husband is still at his job and helping me a little bit at my job as well.

We both bowl still on leagues and off leagues. Im very proud of my husband cause he is trying to get a second associates and possibly a bachelor's degree I do believe. We are definitely staying very busy.

We finally got the deed to an almost 50 acre farm. Now to build upon it and make it ours is the next step. Im trying to learn how to homestead.  I've started with dehydration and growing a decent garden. Im also learning how to make tinctures and vacuum sealing. My husband knows canning and based on an old wives tale, I don't can while it's that time of the month or else everything will go bad. We tested it one time just by me washing the jars and sure enough everything else went bad. My momma tested it one time and even her momma swore by it.

We are both stressed out to the max about some health issues going on with us both. I had my first surgery and it went well at least. The polyp that was removed was benign.

I wished I could say 2025 has been easy, but unfortunately it has not.
